Some people will hide in a tangled up mess

some people slide under, strangled by thorns
some people are better alone.
some people are pulled like a wire tightened taut
ready to snap into pain
some are like ropes wound up by the sea
never uncoiling to never be free
never to shred to their filament fibers
never to know their forgotten desires.
Frozen in motion and stiffened by salt
knowing inside that of course it’s your fault
crystalized tension teasing the shatter
and all of my thoughts are just atomized matter
